Recommended Teachers & Masters
A common – and very important – theme being discussed right now is sustainability and protecting natural resources. Earth is a completely natural world, not an artificial one (obviously). Something that’s 4.5 billion years old and sustains all life is sacred; ought to be protected and revered.
Our species has survived and thrived for thousands of years in perfect harmony with ecosystems and all creatures, not violating any Universal laws (karma) by damaging an intrinsic part of our very being. In other words, harming ourselves by inflicting intentional/unintentional harm on the natural world. Mistaking what’s “out there” as something separate or less important than you; forgetting that there is no separation, all is one; by harming anything in creation, the end result is you harm yourself (survival needs not applicable – i.e. food & shelter).
“You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.”
Nature provides everything we need: food, clothing, medicine, shelter, art, love, entertainment, and is the stage for life to be performed on.
Because we’re all interdependent and connected, when one suffers, our collective light is dimmer than it’s greatest potential. I see too many lost and discontent people who’s suffering is a result of inadequate knowledge. Do the majority of people really prioritize sports and entertainment ahead of ending suffering and peace?
This is the result of forgetting who we are; the proverbial spiritual amnesia. This is described as maya in Sanskrit, or the illusory energy of the physical world.
In the sea of light pollution, infrastructure, and buildings, it’s easy to believe all that stuff is more important than what was originally here. It’s real but unnatural due to the fact that it wasn’t created by the universe, it was created by Homo Sapiens. The sticker on an apple, is not the apple.
A tree with the cooing dove nestled in it’s treetop is reality. Sun and Moon; the same timeless celestial bodies that have accompanied our planet since time immemorial and witnessed the rise and fall of Rome – who dance flawlessly through the vacuum of space – are reality. Pain is real; which explains why the less someone feels pain, the more disillusioned one becomes about what is realistic from fake, like some bubble boy. It’s through pain that we learn, as well as pleasure 😁 🍇🍉🍍🍏🍨🍩
So here is a list of my favorite teachers and masters who have helped me to discern fact from fiction, truth from lies, and myself from The All.
I discovered Teal Scott through YouTube which is also the origins of her career. Teal writes books and travels the world doing various conferences and events; she even recently opened a new retreat center Philia in Costa Rica. You can watch her videos on YouTube tealswan.com
His works include “The Power of Now”, “A New Earth”, and “Stillness Speaks”. Eckhart Tolle is a world renowned best-selling author and speaker who emphasizes meditation and Zen principles; letting go of the past while awaiting whatever the future has in store for us. Essentially hakuna matata, “no worries”. “Tolle…changed his name to Eckhart in a homage to the German spiritual leader Meister Eckhart. He refused all forms of formal education between the ages of 13 and 22, preferring instead to pursue his own creative and philosophical interests. Despite all this, he went to the University of London and is acknowledged by Cambridge University to have matriculated as a postgraduate student there in 1977, when he was 29.” ¹ Oprah is one of his biggest advocates and his book is even featured in Oprah’s Book Club.
George Noory is less of a self-help expert and more of an avenue for all things paranormal and scientific. The insight you gain on his radio show definitely helps accelerate your growth and clarify certain topics. January 2003 Art Bell retired from his radio show “Coast to Coast AM, a North American late-night radio talk show that deals with a variety of topics, but most frequently ones that relate to either the paranormal or conspiracy theories.” ² George Noory quickly stepped in and listeners fell in love with his ability to connect with the guest in a captivating way. Guests on the show include psychics, healers, doctors, scientists, authors, and leading experts in their field. You can tune into George on AM radio channel 640, most podcast platforms and at the Conscious Life Expo every year in LA.
What sets Dolores apart from most other teachers is that she’s very easy to understand and reminds me of anyone’s grandmother. It’s for this reason that everyone can enjoy her message of peace, love, and highlighting the bizarre nature of consciousness. Mrs. Cannon began in clinical hypnosis, leading to past-life regression therapy, and eventually “Quantum Healing Hypnosis”. With the consent of her patients, Dolores explored areas of the mind that few psychologists and hypnotherapists dared to venture; further down the rabbit hole. After several years the same phenomena occurred patient after patient, leading her to conclude that we’re all connected in spirit and originate from the same loving, divine source. Past, present, and future are all happening now; time was evidently no obstacle for the information she uncovered. After decades of compiling information from this infinite source of knowledge, she wrote several books which are still popular. You can also find videos on YouTube Here.
Darryl Anka – Bashar
One of the most entertaining teachers of the group is Darryl Anka. Darryl discovered after years of meditation that he could channel a being named Bashar; revealing the “interconnected” nature of the human mind which knows no boundaries. I’ve seen Darryl channel in person at the Conscious Life Expo and walked away with more confidence and faith in God. I should mention that his style of speaking is definitely intricate and grandiose. You can find Darryl’s videos on YouTube. Here
His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama
His Holiness has helped countless souls on their journey of life; including myself. Being an incarnation of Avalokiteśvara – the Bodhisattva of compassion – his words and presence are calming and his message always brings peace to mind, body, and heart. His name is Tenzin Gyatso (born July 6, 1935). “He was selected as the tulku (disciple) of the 13th Dalai Lama in 1937 and formally recognized as the 14th Dalai Lama at a public declaration near the town of Bumchen in 1939. His enthronement ceremony as the Dalai Lama was held in Lhasa on February 22, 1940, and he eventually assumed full temporal (political) power over Tibet on November 17, 1950, at the age of 15, after China’s invasion of Tibet.” ³ His Holiness “received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, and is known for his advocacy for Tibetans worldwide and his lifelong interest in modern science.” ⁴ The author of over 50 books! Your relationships, job and career, talents and gifts all benefit from his wisdom, not just your spiritual practice. His words make being human more pleasant as you gain understanding and wash away the confusion like a good rain scrubs the haze from the air. “Knowledge, becomes understanding. Understanding, becomes peace.” – Brandon Lott
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
“Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare – Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare”
This is the Maha-mantra, It’s prescribed by Vedic priests as a means of happiness and salvation. It creates peace, confidence, love, and a connection to God and the Universe; much like chanting Om. This is but one of many messages that Srila Prabhupada wished to share with the world. “His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977) is widely regarded as the foremost Vedic scholar, translator, and teacher of the modern era. He is especially respected as the world’s most prominent contemporary authority on bhakti-yoga, devotional service to the Supreme Person, Krishna, as taught by the ancient Vedic writings of India. He is also the founder – acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Srila Prabhupada, as he’s known to his followers, translated and commented on over eighty volumes of the Vedas’ most important sacred bhakti texts, including the Bhagavad-gita—a concise handbook for understanding the purpose and goal of human life.” ⁵ The Bhagavad-Gita has helped in all areas of my life; It’s the handbook for humanity. Srila Prabhupada’s books have also taught me the meaning of rational thinking; I recommend them to everyone. Hare Krishna. 😇
A professional animal communicator, intuitive, energy healer, author, speaker, and visionary. Lori Spagna (spaw-nya) turned her life around after a series of near-death experiences in Hawaii. On her website LoriSpagna.com you’ll find classes where you can actually learn how to communicate with your pets! It does take practice and some people are better at it than others, but it’s another reason I love what Lori does. One of my favorite videos Here.
Dr. Jewel Pookrum
“Dr. Jewel Pookrum was born in Detroit, MI, where she established her roots as a mother and physician. Initially working at Henry Ford Hospital, performing surgery and practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology, she later became a pioneer in wholistic™ medicine; with a strong emphasis on healing through mental and spiritual wellness. Dr. Jewel has traveled the world procuring knowledge and honing her skills as a natural healer. Considering her accomplishments and expertise, Prime Minister Nelson Mandela and wife, Winnie, personally selected Dr. Jewel as their consulting physician during their 1990 visit to the United States.” ⁷ I stumbled upon Mrs. Pookrum through social media. Someone had posted a link to her youtube video here. She’s a big advocate for vegetarian diets after figuring out firsthand what they didn’t teach her in medical school. Her chronic health problems were linked directly to what she was eating in the school cafeteria and her convenient snack foods to get through a busy day. http://www.thejewelnetwork.net

It’s never too early to start educating your children on the amazing world we share. This can be a challenging task because kids have questions, a lot of questions. Spirit science was created by Jordan Pearce so that hours and hours of library research can be compiled into easy-to-watch animated videos for all ages. Whether you’re just beginning your spiritual journey or an expert, you can enjoy these videos and the antics of Patchman, the main character. A variety of topics like sacred geometry, yin-yang energies, Fibonacci sequences, alternate realities and dimensions, crystals and gemstones, nutrition, healing, and even the history of Earth. Everyone is a teacher
I saved the best for last. All of the wisdom gained from these great teachers and masters is useless if you’re the only person alive. We acquire this information so it can mold and shape us into better people and treat those around us with love, compassion, and respect. If you’ve read all of the Dalai Lama’s books and continue to steal, lie, cheat, and offend everyone around you, what a silly notion that is. Although the Universe is always conspiring to give you what you desire, the reality we all share and create is designed to teach lessons. Why? Lessons are the only thing we take in the afterlife. Earth is a school, Love is the lesson.
Everyday we’re tested and choose either love or fear. This is why your interactions on a daily basis are so important if you want to make progress and improve yourself. Choose love. You really can learn so much just from observing others and learning from their mistakes; also from their accomplishments and knowing what to do, another example of how others are teachers.
One of those karmic lessons revolves around the idea of “I recognize that in things, which are myself”. It also goes by the Law of Reflection. We recognize things – good and bad – that we posses ourselves. If you think your coworker is rude or arrogant, it would be wise to examine your own actions and see if there are any correlations. If you think someone is very talented or beautiful, you probably are talented and good-looking as well. Just like karma is cyclical and balanced, the law of reflection exists to point out our own issues that we could work on. This is not set in stone, it is a mode of material nature, and like other modes, it can be transcended. When you transcend the modes of material nature you can make observations from a spiritual platform that are more conscious. As you practice meditation, the law of reflection becomes a tool to stay aware of the seeds you are sowing. When you become self-realized and properly meditate, you see things as they are, unadulterated and raw.
