I want my patients to feel more connected to their own signals and more confident in responding to them. My work is grounded in East Asian medicine and shaped by over 10 years of clinical experience, with a particular focus on hormonal health, digestion, reproductive health, nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, pain, and facial rejuvenation. I combine acupuncture with Chinese dietary therapy and lifestyle guidance when appropriate, always adapting the treatment to the person in front of me. Facial rejuvenation is another part of my practice that I love because it brings these ideas together. Rather than thinking of the face as separate from the rest of the body, I look at circulation, tension, stress, digestion, hormones, sleep, and overall vitality as part of the picture. The goal is not to erase signs of having lived, but to support the health and expression of the face from the inside out. I practice from a trauma-informed and gender-inclusive perspective, and I believe good treatment begins with being genuinely attentive to the person in front of me. After practicing for several years in Mexico offering acupuncture, Cosmetic Acupuncture and an integrative approach to esthetic medicine and weight management using Chinese Medicine, she moved back to Canada and received a Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner from the International College of Chinese Medicine of Vancouver. Lately, she has been pursuing her deep interest in nutrition through the applied human nutrition program at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. Mariana strongly believes that there is a seamless connection between functional nutrition and Chinese Medicine, as they both strive to find the root cause of disease using food as medicine. Mariana loves providing a patient-centered approach with individually tailored treatments to help people in their journey back to health and healing. She is currently doing her nutrition practicum with Atira Women’s Resource Society offering nutritional and lifestyle advice to women who have been impacted by violence. As an incessant herbal apprentice, she believes that plants are powerful allies on our paths to becoming wholesome.
